Doctor: Why have you come to see me today?

Patient: I’m here to talk about family planning

Doctor: What type of family planning?

Patient: Tubal Ligation

Doctor: Why have you decided to choose tubal ligation?

Patient: Because i feel that it is best for me as I am a middle aged woman who and I want to be sexually active without getting pregnant.

Doctor: That's great! But some risks that you may encounter include discomfort, complications during the procedure.

Patient: What are the long and short term side effects?

Doctor: Strokes, blood clots, ectopic pregnancy.

Patient: Oh i see. Is it possible to still get any STI’s?

Doctor: Yes. Are you Catholic?

Patient: Yes I am, why?

Doctor: Allow me to give you the catholic perspective on tubal ligation.

Patient: ok

Doctor: The Catholics believe that it is morally acceptable and it will also increase the strength within your marriage. They also believe that it will respect your body and health.

Patient: Oh ok, that’s great!
